The short version

pagehear collects no data and shares no data. Your documents never leave your phone. The app has no server, no account, no analytics and no advertising.

What the app does with your documents

Documents you import are parsed and stored only on your device. Reading text out loud, and recognising text on scanned pages, both happen on the device using software bundled inside the app. No document, no text extract and no audio is uploaded, transmitted or backed up by us, because the app contains no code that could send anything anywhere.

Permissions

pagehear asks only for what playback needs: notifications (so listening continues with the screen off), and the media-playback service Android requires for background audio. It does not request location, contacts, or broad file access; you choose each document through the system file picker.

Purchases

The optional Pro subscription is billed and processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details and receive no personal data from the transaction. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Google Play settings at any time.

Children

pagehear is not directed at children under 13 and is rated for adults. It is not designed for the Families policy.

Changes

If this policy ever has to change, the new version will be published at this address with a new date. Because the app makes no connections, a changed policy never changes what a copy of the app already on your phone does.
